I posted this in the web hosting forum but i think its supposed to go here.
I am currently running a unmetered bandwidth sever from servermatrix.com but it is extremly slow and they wont let me upgrade it. So I am thinkgin of going to jhservers.com Has anyone heard of them? I think they are failry new but i was wondering if they are dependable, reliable, and any other things i should know.
I am gogin through 70gb-85gb a day on profilehumor.com. Any other ideas on what kinda of servers to use or who to go through? I think at JHservers i am going to get a 20mbps, 80gb hardrive, 1536mb ram, 2.8 ghz unmetered server. I think once i get this new server my traffic and bandwidth will increase so hopefully this new server holds up.
Gee, you ran into Frank Calo’s latest site. He’s a teen trying to run a business and has not done well in it the past few years. I would avoid jhservers if you value uptime, support, and a company that won’t disappear in 3 months to open up under a new name. Last time he disappeared with servers down for days he said he was on vacation and blamed the person he supposedly hired to look after things while he was gone.
I suggest you go with a company that has a history to begin with. jhservers.com didn’t even exist before 2005. I’m almost surprised he found another company willing to sell him servers to resell, but I guess they don’t know his history like I do.
If you want to know more about him, search the web, and specifically the WHT forum, for “raine”, “raine-tech”, “jhosts” among other names he’s gone by.
Do you have any reccomendations as to where I can buy an unmetered server that can handle 100gb a day or more? My budgetis about 350 a month.
I have never bought anything from them, but at least there’s a real company behind these offers:

That seems to fit the bill.
Dan Grossman is lying quite a bit. On WHT we have a solid reputation and have sold hundreds of servers to happy customers. We’ve been in operation for nearly 30 months now, with JHServers just being a brand we opened almost 12 months ago as a dedicated server brand of JHosts (which dealt with shared/reseller hosting). Dan Grossman is quite biased obviously and has never used our services. Not to mention some of his web sites have many false advertisements and lies just to get you to be a customer of theirs. (Specifically his traffic sites).
Best of luck in your search for a quality unmetered provider.
I wouldn’t want to make unsubstantiated claims about his reputation, so here’s a sample of the threads:
JHServers.com RIPPED ME OFF!!!!!
Summary: Expect up to a 3 week delay in getting a new server, and if you’re not happy with it, you can’t get a full refund.JHosts [Merged]
Summary: Methods of contacting support suddenly disappear, client’s domain is not renewed even though it’s paid for (and someone else snaps it up), phone number doesn’t work.Raine Technologies / Jhosts
Summary: He couldn’t decide where he lives, and lists false contact info on each domain he sells web hosting from. The reason people were looking was that his customer was going into WHT’s chat channel looking for a way to contact him but couldn’t.“Not sure. Called the 315-506-6817 number listed on his websites and got a Susan Alcheri with Riverfront Medical. Called a number that mikeylove pulled up from somewhere and it seemed to be his Mom’s house. She said he wasn’t available.”
No Setup Fees!
Summary: “dns of jhservers down again? it seems to be down for 12+ hrs?” “yea its been down ages.”jhservers.com ?
“I ordered a server from jhservers 8 days ago and still did not receive my server details from them. Does anybody know - are they in business or not? Is anybody alive there?”
Hmmm…I would like to believe what Dan Grossman said against JHosts, because he provided some (solid) negative proofs. Since every hosting ALWAYS have some dis-satisfied customers (along with a LOTS of good ones), now we would like to see JHosts to post some threads that does have their positive/appreciative reviews. That way, it will be fair to both. Lets wait & see.
Im not going to sit here and play lawyer, our customers are happy, and if you take the time to read most of those threads you will see they are either unrelated to JHServers or the outcome was different than the title. ALL of our servers take 1-3 business days to setup, it used to take a bit longer while with our provider in NYC, which was nearly 4-5 months ago, again Dan posted old news. Also during that time we clearly stated it would take longer to receive servers, though customers just decided not to read the capitalized and bolded text above every page of our order form. We now state and do honor our 1-3 business setup time. We have never “scammed” anybody, and have never done someone “wrong”. We are an honest company, which is much more than Dan Grossman can say about his web sites. Thank you.
Ok thanks for all the reply’s. I have taken in account both sides (Dan and JHServers) and will make a decsion on what company to use. Thanks for all your help.
cliffjumper100 got the hint.
