Google Changes, And We All Win!

Many people have been “crushed” by the latest Google changes, and without the right attitude, this is going to turn several people away from Internet marketing.

For those of you that are truly concerned about the changes with Google right now, do not worry. This is a natural progression and evolution of Internet marketing.

Promoting products online has never been a set in stone process, and will continue to change every year. The techniques we use will change, the way that systems like Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing work will change. The way we make money online will change.

When I first started out, I only used Overture. Google was fairly big, but Overture still had a better marketshare and converted better. However, when I wanted to expand my advertising channels, Google was the first place I looked.

For me, this was a big change. I was used to the bid for placement system that Overture had and this thing called Quality Score threw me for a big loop. I learned all that I could and I adjusted to the change.

This is something that you are going to have to do if you want to be successful with the Internet…adjust to change. Google is a lot bigger than me, therefore I have to adjust with the program. Do they care if I quit using them…absolutely not. Although I am a decent sized client, someone will replace me.

I see Google’s most recent changes as a good thing. Not only for me, but for all the members at Wealthy Affiliate. I see it as an opportunity to work together with all members to get the formula right for adwords.

Having relevant landing pages will not only contribute to a higher Quality Score, but the more relevant a landing page is, the higher the conversions. Google is essentially doing most marketers a favour here and forcing advertisers to optimize the pages to convert better.

There are going to be many advertisers that “quit” because of this, and this only opens the doors for people like ourselves that can adapt to change. Look at this as a great opportunity to become a better marketer rather than telling yourself that you can no longer do this because of Google. There is no excuse and with the changes, comes more opportunity. Take advantage of these opportunities and bring your game to the next level.

We will persevere…continue down the windy road of Internet marketing and come out on top as a large group of Wealthy Affiliates. No matter how big or small the Google changes are, it will not stop us on our drive to success.
