Lets have a chat about Dynamic Keyword Insertion because as some of you are finding the KW list can generate a lot of traffic, but because of the amount of KW for each list it is very time consuming creating ads that can acnieve high CTR (click through rates). Lets discuss this, and everyone, please feel free to add your own thoughts and techniques.

OK, here’s a technique that not everyone knows about adwords. Dynamic Keyword Insertion.

So, what is it? Well, the best way to talk about this is to give an example. Lets say that we’re promoting jewelry (hint hint), and I am advertising the following for rings.

gold rings
silver rings
daimond rings
platinum rings
gold ring
silver ring
daimond ring
platinum ring

I’ve PM a ton of you about CTR and because it’s so important I need to touch on it here. You’ll get much higher CTR if you have your keywords in your title of the ad. That being said, to have each of the above 8 kw show up in your ads you’ll have to creat 9 seperate ads right? WRONG. Use Keyword insertion.

The ad:

Buy {KeyWord:Daimond Rings}
We have a huge selection of Rings
For discount prices

Now, when someone searches for “Platinum rings” your title will read:

Buy Platinum Rings
We have a huge selection of Rings
For discount prices

The phrase after the “:” is the default string. If the user search is longer than the allowed length your add will default to “Daimond Rings”

So, if someone types in “I want to buy a Platinum Ring” your ad will still show “Buy Daimond Rings”. So, try to group your keywords together so that all searches are relevant. I guarantee Keyword Insertion will save you a ton of time, and you’ll get much Higher CTR.
