Here are some Google Adwords advertising tips:
- Find the High Traffic Keywords.
- Group similar keywords together.
- Create ad groups with as few keywords as possible.
- Use broad, exact and phrase match types.
Finding the high traffic keywords is the first thing you need to do. If you try to put all of your keywords into one list without finding which ones are the most expensive, you are going to run into problems. You’ll burn through a bunch of money before you know it. You need to find which keywords get tons of hits. Then, put those similar high traffic keyworkds in their own lists. You can try using Dynamic Keyword Insertion for this. By doing this you are able to control your CPC on the high traffic keywords. This is important because you’re in a testing phase. You just jumped into a new market and you need to find out how the market works and which keywords are your best converters.
Group your keywords together. If you group your keywords together and use the keywords in the title of your ads, you’ll notice that you’ll get higher CTR (click through rates) and you’ll pay less - not to mention you’ll get a higher ranking. So put similar keywords together. Some of you are throwing 2000 keywords into each ad group and wondering why you’re not making money, well that’s a no brainer. If you’re not willing to put hard work into this then don’t bother trying. We can’t expect that this technique will work.
The less keywords you put into your ad groups the better. If you throw 2000 (the max) keywords into a group, Google actually looks at this and says to themselves: “This person is lazy, so lets rank them lower than the non-lazy people”. To be a “Non-Lazy” person you need to put small amounts of keywords into each group. In some of our personal campaigns we’ve got 50 or 60 ad groups, some with nearly 100. It takes time, but every group is highly targeted, the keyword is in the title, the CTR are high, we’re paying less, and we have much more control over the cost per click.
Finally, use the google editor tool. You need to realize the using Broad, Exact and Phrase matching increases your CTR as well.
