I’ve gotta question for ya. I’m currently working on a redesign of my site. With the version of my site that I’ll be replacing, I’ve been earning money with adsense and selling advertising space. I’m kind of tired of taking the time out to deal with advertisers and have heard on here somewhere…why use your time dealing with advertisers if you can earn money with Adsense instead. So, as I’m designing the new version of my site, my dilemma is…
Should I take a big chance and stop accepting advertising right now, fill those ad spots with Google instead and see if I can earn the same amount of money I normally do with adsense and advertisers? I need some advice. I’ve also heard on SitePoint forums before that it’s crazy to put your eggs all in one basket. It just takes a lot of time to deal with advertisers and I’d like to use that time instead to work on my content instead of keeping up relations with them.
I’d love to hear from any webmasters out there who’ve been in my situation before and decided to take the risk and go ALL-adsense instead of dealing with advertisers. If you’ve done that, how did it work out? Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Selling advertising space is too time consuming and not worth. It is better to work with adsense and other ads networks.
I would never ever ever ever go with just a single network. Adsense or anyone. the whole eggs in one basket thing. God forbid you get the dreaded banned email. Then you SOL and have no source of income.
I always keep 6 or 7 networks around, give some of them the bare minimum I need every month just to keep the accounts active. Just in case something happens with one of the main ones I use, I have a quick and easy replacement.
I like adsense at this point. They handle everything which frees me up to do other things.
Totally agree with you.
That’s the reason why i still my day job.
Go Totally with Adsense or not
